How to choose lubricating grease for sliding bearings

Sliding bearings can also be lubricated with grease, and the following points should be considered when selecting grease:
(1) When the bearing load is large and the speed is low, lubricating grease with small cone penetration should be selected, and vice versa, lubricating grease with large cone penetration should be selected. High speed bearings use lubricating grease with lower cone penetration and good mechanical stability. Special attention should be paid to the lower viscosity of the base oil for lubricating grease.
(2) The drop point of the selected lubricating grease is generally 20-30 ℃ higher than the working temperature. When operating continuously at high temperatures, be careful not to exceed the allowable temperature range of the lubricating grease.
(3) When sliding bearings work in water or humid environments, calcium based, aluminum based, or lithium based lubricants with good water resistance should be selected.
(4) Choose lubricating grease with good adhesion.
